I just had a "hey, wait a minute" moment. Doesn't the constitution say that the government can't prefer one religion over another? Wouldn't that extend also to those serving in government offices? I mean, they can have whatever religion they want but they can't promote it publically? So if a politician or a candidate does that, aren't they violating the constitution? Wouldn't that (or shouldn't that) disqualify them for public office? I don't know the legalities of that but it makes me wonder...
We don't want to be noticed because people can lose their jobs, children, etc. A movement starts with individuals. Too many that have too much to lose can't dare risk it.
Rev. Don, I am in constant appreciation of your perspectives on things and open-mindedness. I think that judgment has a large role in keeping us separated from society in many ways as well as the lack of understanding and seemingly “ingrained” perceptions and thoughts in a mostly negative way, that the majority of people have towards the pagan community. You are right, each and every one of us can help bring this view into the more positive light for future generations.
@Darkblooded77 Tu Che. Personally I think the democratic party is exicuting their economic beliefs all wrong. We need to quit encouraging the lazy to be lazy at the expense of the middle class workers of America.
@Darkblooded77 Help the lower class. Not with money but with education. Money is the problem, not the solution. Abundance for all doesn't include money or the monetary system. Money supports scarcity, not abundance. Why is Diamond more expensive the Quartz Crystal? It because diamonds are rare therefore it take alot of "money" to contain such a common element (carbon).
I think its best not to be involved in the affairs of tyrants... i mean politics :-) Otherwise we become like them, one minded, self serving, money hungrey, manipulative fools. We see what fear can do to a mindless society, imagen if the magickal community falls victims to a "Them VS Us" mentality. A wise man once said: "To be for or against is the minds worst disease"
@herbalcat Thats what the old Christians thought too, until authoritive tyrants took control of thier books and turn it against them. Now Christianity is guilty of crimes like genocide, prejudism, and bigotry. This is why the old mystics kept thier knowledge a secret.
