  • The Standard wrapper does okay turning cork. The upgraded wrapper is the way to go if you plan on using it more than a few times. The chuck is where the difference is and when turning cork you need it to be perfect. You can't beat the upgraded wrapper, it is awesome!!

  • nice vid

are you a professial or hobby builder?

  • @bram9333 Hi Bram. Glad you liked the video. I'm a passionate builder and have built quite a few, it is how I paid my way through college and then started Get Bit Outdoors. It is still a hobby because I love what I do, but it is also how I pay my bills. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to keep it as both. Let us know how we can help- Tight Lines.

  • @bram9333 Hi Bram, we sell all the supplies, components, blanks, etc.. let us know if you are ever looking for something. I personally turn myhandles on my rod wrapper. We have them on sale right now for $259 for the standard or $379 for the upgraded wrapper which hands down the biggest bang for your buck

  • @bram9333 Yes sir, the $379 is the Alps wrapper. The standard wrapper is $259.00

  • does the standard wrapper work well for turning cork handles?

  • @GetBitOutdoors tanks for the tip but i think i'd first make 1 ore 2 rods without a lathe but maybe later. nice shop btw.

PS: when you mean the $379 lathe you mean the alps one?

  • @GetBitOutdoors nice to hear that you are making your money on something as awesome as rod building. i just(last week) bought every thing i needed to make my first hand made rod. the only thing i been wondering how to get the cork straight but an whole installation for 1 rod is a bit expensive. have you got any tips for making the cork handle look good with out a turning lathe. ore do you know how expensive a cheap turning lathe could cost?
