A Disgruntled Fast Food Employee Speaks Out

A young woman named Krystal who works at a fast food restaurant is tired of being abused by customers and decides to tell her story to the public. She wants something done about the abuse and she asks lawmakers for help.

I work at McDonalds part-time but I also go to school at Colorado University, the sterotype that all fast food employees are dumb, needs to end, if you have ever worked fast food during a huge rush, it requires some skill and patience, plus everyone else is stressed, customers are fucking idiots and I'd love to see them learn how to operate a register when their a BRAND NEW employee

I'm a Pizza delivery Driver. Just a different side of the same food service coin. With this "rotten fucked up economy" ......... What other choice do "any of us" have at this point than to work these awful Food Service Jobs?? People have the guts to say "Why don't you quit and find another job?" Yeah, well finding "Any" job in this Recession is damn near impossible. So, NO, we don't have that luxury! So people, please don't ever naively say that again, especially in the middle of a Recession!

I think I would rather starve and be homeless than work at a fast food place again.Of course I did a lot of things wrong but they weren't things so extreme to have a heart attack over.People are so rude and sick of their own damn pathetic lives that they have to take it out on people working to make it through college.

While working in a deli (in California) I had an older fella cuss me out with a verbalizer. His wife was aghast. I've also had such episodes as,"Give me five pounds of ham shaved" and he just had to add "IT'S FOR MY DOG." The worst is the regular customer who decide's you're their whipping boy, and who harrass the highest level of management available at every possible (and ALWAYS pointless) opportunity. It's surely just a sign of people leading unfulfilled and meaningless lives.

@Derek799 I work at mcdonald's part time too. Customers try all the time to rob me and some are so abusive that they yell and then there are some that harass me sexually and verbally. They called me a dropout! That is NOT TRUE! I am graduating from college in about a year with a biology degree. They reason that I work is because my family does not pay my tuition or my living expenses. I work hours with no breaks. It is so mentally tiring.

@Derek799 i know seriously i mean most employees are dumb or stupid but its because there 40 and working in fast food. Anywho I can't stand customers like I think half the customers are just as stupid. No one understands how much shit you gota do in a fast food place for shitty pay.

role reversal lol, ive learned that your like the shrink and when they are having a bad day your the one they unload on, now times that by how many people come through its constant overload, its easy work yes but also mentally and physically tiring
