Focusing on studies published just over the last year in peer-reviewed scientific medical journals, Michael Greger, M.D., offers practical advice on how best to feed ourselves and our families to prevent, treat, and even reverse many of the top 15 killers in the United States.

I haven't been keeping track, but that's funny. Meat lovers seems to have a dysfunctional relationship with truth and logic.

A high fat meal should be grass fed beef cooked rare in extra virgin coconut oil, with an avocado spinach salad with olives and a few nuts. Not a freaking sausage and egg mcmuffin.

At 6:10... The study used a "sausage and egg mcmuffin" to represent a 'high fat' meal.....absolutely retarded. Poor study, poor science and poor conclusion drawn by both the researchers of the study and the vegetarian lecturer speaking against animal fat.

Cholesterol is a perfectly natural and essential substance in the body. What we don't eat our bodies have to manufacture. I think you will find it's the vegan sugar and anti-nutrients in grain (esp wheat) that cause the inflammation Greger wrongly attributes to animal products. He's a good speaker but has an utterly warped view of nutrition.

Stephen: the Standard American Diet IS STILL being hammered on because it is STILL causing so much unnecessary death in our country. We will not stop educating until we have thoroughly exposed the SAD deception AND achieve implementation of higher standards. Your idea for a "debate / discussion" on a niche topic of study is still valid, and interesting, but far from the most important front-lines of what the real weapon of mass destruction (SAD) is causing.

I don't know what people in the study were eating before being put on the vegan diet, but, if they were consuming ample amounts of pasta, drinking soda till their faces bloat and smoking a fag every half an hour, then it's no surprise they were sick.

I'd like you to read article "low carb for health: rethinking heart healthy" on lowcarbforhealth. Feel free to check the references linked and everything and then get back to me if you still think dietary cholesterol is bad.

The article states something not new to me, that cholesterol is high in people with CVD, however, it doesn't do good proving that the cholesterol causes it, and I remain under the impression it doesn't. If the particle size of lipoproteins is to be taken into account, then I'd be more wary on avoiding HFCS and fruit filled with fructose, since a large portion of that gets converted to vldl. One has to take into account confounding factors.
