1. The Camera has been zoomed in so you lose the outer edges of the picture to see the real speed.
2. 747's are huge aircraft, they aren't supersonic jet fighters. Approach speeds are probably only around 185 Knots? If you take a look at some external approach videos or see them in person, they appear to almost float on final.

@1974rail Tower Center is 120.75, 126.9, and 132.7. Tower North is 128.15 (O'hare has 3 towers actually - 2 for airplanes, and one solely for vehicles)

Why are they planning to close this runway? Right now, during this windstorm from the Northwest, they need it to handle a minimum of traffic.
