    tween MESHELL,BILAL,&others tooo numerous to mention, are the sometimes shamefully STILL considered to be "underground"....Because of so called URBAN commercial radio stations across the country that don't play these TRUE artists WILLINGLY on a CONSTANT level.. I was even tuning in on a popular URBAN station some years ago,AND THEY finally PLAYED ONE OF ERIC ROBERSON'S SONGS...smh...

    It has been said that the arrival of Nirvana did nothing for the R&B scene: I disagree, Me'Shell's albums were a good example on how Alternative Rock influenced R&B. The thing became raw, dark, more emotional and real.

    People who know TLC's "Waterfalls" from the cover done by Stooshe complain about the original being too raw for their autotune brainwashed ears and TLC weren't exactly known for being a raw act but they still had that Alt Rock influenced sound and vibe.
