Matilda knows more tricks than Stuart. She is no more intelligent than Stuart, it is just that she is higher energy and more motivated than he is. Stuart is happy with a few minutes of training, but then he has had enough and goes off to bed to sleep all that excitement off. He is also more sensitive, if he does not understand what you want, he gets very upset and does not want to be trained anymore. Mattie though could be trained forever, she loves it so much. If Mattie is around then Stuart lasts longer, the competition seems to keep his interest. Mattie does best being trained alone. Stuart only does it for food whereas, although Mattie loves treats, loving is often all the reward she needs. She can do several tricks: 'turnaround' counter-clockwise turn, 'twist' clockwise turn, 'tunnel' and she still has to perfect 'stretch'. She also comes to her name and seems to understand what 'up' means. She is one smart little mouse :)
