  • @dougiedracula Thanks for the comment! I have 3 videos posted of the evaporator...just small videos though. Maybe next spring I will take some more footage

    what size is your evaporator and how many taps you guys got going on here??

    shanty looks pretty new too!

  • @dougiedracula I'm not sure on the exact size, but we have usually around 1400 taps...all buckets too, no lines. (too many moose around to keep them up!)

    We are currently located in a building close to the Farm house, this is the 3rd shanty our family has used....there are two others back in the sugar bush that were used in previous years....dating back a hundred years or so

  • @farkus0015 HOLY CRAP! all buckets! lol i feel bad for ya! we've just been upgrading the last couple years, went from 2000 taps on pipeline, 2500 buckets to only 800 buckets left.

    thats pretty awesome about your family's heritage with the shanties, weve been sugarin for less then 20 years or so... so were still only beginers haha
