Times Square (May 2000)

Back in May 2000, I travelled to America on a school exchange trip, and took a camcorder along for the holiday. 10 years on, I decided it was high time to get the footage onto my computer - and from there, it was a natural next step to share some of it here on Youtube.

Part of our first week was spent in New York, and on one evening we took a walk through Times Square. With someone guiding me from behind, I filmed a large part of the walk as a continuous 17-minute shot. That is too long to show here in its entirety of course - however, as some of that time was spent standing around to wait for people or to talk amongst ourselves, it was easy to edit down. So, while you may notice a few jumps here and there, you're not actually missing anything. I've also kept the original sound for this upload, to retain the atmosphere of the evening. I hope you enjoy!
