i agree with you 100% and im glad someone finally has said this it really needed to be said. Television today is not worth watching anymore. Im like you My child only watched boom where there is still none violent shows. =D

it's the same thing with the quality of today's music, from the 90's back, our music was golden it seems, it had a message behind it as well, but today everything sounds the same and unoriginal

And I'm sorry I'm triple posting now, but I was never aloud to watch power rangers when I was younger, my parents wouldn't let me. I grew up and guess what, when people remembered their childhoods, most of them would mention power rangers, and I knew nothing about it. I missed out on a great childrens show that was just fighting... And at the "I like square butts" commercial, that was a bad idea, weather for kids or adults.

The original mickey was violent. Looney toons... Well, the coyote should've died after his first failed attempt at getting the roadrunner. So the opposite has happened. To many morals make for a bad show. Sure there's iCarly with hidden little bits of naughtiness, but thats for the adults who watch with the kids. Its actually sometimes funny! I miss the old shows, but, lets face it, the morals they try to teach nowadays are better than the past "kill the mouse/bird/whatever" that there was.

I'd have to disagree with you on many points. Sure the shows were better in the past than they are now, but thats BECAUSE of the violence. I LOVED the shows like Dexter's Lab and the PowerPuff Girls. Lets face it, older people are biased about tv shows. The old shows are better because we have memories built up around them and the new shows are strangers to us. That being said, today's true "children" shows are nothing about morals. They ruined Mickey Mouse by trying to teach to much morals!
