To provide news and information and give voice to thousands of Sudanese, Internews has built four community radio stations in South Sudan and is training nascent journalists to run them.   • This is a very good project but while the idea of "voice for the voiceless" is emotive and has some significance it is not a sufficient or sustainable strategy. The community radios needs to develop an effective approach to build an audience, secure sources of income/resources and win the respect of the community. A book by Dennis List called Participative Marketing for Local Radio showed how this could be done.

  • I wonder if they have a "fairness" doctrine
