107 of the most memorable cyberpunk and weird movies I remember from memory. Of course there are more unheard of titles and I like them all. 107 seemed like a good number to end at so that's that. I love monsters and mutants. The music was a selection of the only 3 or 4 songs I had on my computer at the moment. All death metal. I really, really need more music. Anyways I hope you like this montage. The soundtrack kinda grew on me. Real cyberpunk was a small, dark, dank, bleak genre full of dystopian themes, punks with wild hair, body mods, upgrades, corporate rule, dreadlocks, facial tats, virtual reality, etc. Things have changed with time though and in our hearts and minds cyberpunk has evolved to incorporate aspects of sci-fi in many ways, but not all sci-fi is created equal. Not all sci-fi movies can be called cyberpunk. Even some of the movies in this collection aren't cyberpunk. The earliest cyberpunk dealt mostly with internet possibilities. Then it moved to VR. Then AI. Now it's moved to zombies and other things but most good cyberpunk has VR or internet themes mixed with seedy punks in a dark underbelly world. To get the best idea I would read something by William Gibson as he came up with those sort of images of what this tiny subgenre entails. Others like Bruce Sterling have cool ideas too. In movies it's much harder to find "real" examples of cyberpunk. This video shows my love of cyberpunk, sci-fi monsters, weird scary, and bizarre stuff. I may have to make a new video later. This is a good amalgamut.
