i don't think everyone will ever do one thing. in my experience in college, people would say "I feel like" all the time and to my mind it is a malaise. it creates intellectual slack and people take their subjectivity to be mean a lack of responsibility. i think its great for young people to make proclamations about what "is" - especially if they're willing to simultaneously argue against themselves. using "is" will get you famous.
