I found this bird at work this morning. It climbed right onto my finger. I think it was stunned by flying into a window. I am trying to figure out what kind of bird it is. I know it is not a standard sparrow as it is too big and it's beak is too long. Anyone know what kind of bird it is? BTW, it flew away real quickly shortly after I stopped the video.

Looks like it is a Swainson's Thrush (thanks Elis1K !):

  • Oh my God, I had that same bird in my yard this spring here in Maine. He wasn't shy like our usual birds so I just figured he was old or injured. Nope, he was fine. I did a video on him called "My New Chubby Bird Friend."

  • @babaloo42 Yeah, I checked your video and it does look like the same bird. I thought sure that mine had crashed into the window and was stunned, but now I think now. Interesting. Thanks for posting here!

  • Hermit or Swainson's Thrush (Adult)

  • Haha looks like a grandma for some reason.

  • I am fairly sure it is an adult Swainson's Thrush.

  • Cool video. What happened to the birdie? ;-)
