This is a 13' documentary that looks at the lives of street musicians in downtown Helsinki. By giving a voice to these misunderstood souls, the film explores themes of migration, prejudice and survival.
The film was produced as apart of the intercultural North-South-South Exchange Programme of 2011 where 12 Film and TV students from Universities in Helsinki (Finland), Johannesburg (South Africa), and Accra (Ghana) collaborate in making documentaries that are aimed at being culturally diverse and socially viable both in form and content.
The programme is supported by CIMO (Center for international mobility), a part of the ministry of education.
The programme for 2011 had a common theme: ENCOUNTERS, which the students are encouraged to interpret, explore, and inspire their concepts.
