After assembling the short block, we found we had a few thou of piston vs. head interference. seems we miscalculated the squish angle by 1.0 degree, plus we ended up with the pistons riding 4thou out for the block. the combination of the two meant we lost our desired squish clearance, and had in-congruent surfaces. so... time to quickly CNC the heads to get the combustion chambers to match the piston profile perfectly.
