How the heck do I keep that blasted Fender Dynamic Vibrato in tune? This is how I do it, in a 2 part video consisting of lots of "ums", "ers", "okays" and other not-so-pleasing public speaking problems.

Here, I'll discuss removing the strings, how the rocking bridge and vibrato unit works, and what I go through to put this thing in tune after dismantling it.

  • I flipped the TAILPIECE AROUND so I can directly feed strings through and screwed it down, taped the bridge no more floating...stays in tune perfectly...

  • @kishdogg05 Yeah, but it defeats the ability to use the vibrato system, which is more what I was going for.

  • Great video. Helped my adjust and string up my Mustang guitars for the first time.

  • how do you Adjust the intonation on a the bridge....?

  • Wow, thanks so much for this video. I just got a Jag-stang on eBay and you don't know how much this helped out! THANKS AGAIN bro!

  • Also for people watching this video, I'd like to reccomend taping up the routes so you don't get dirt from the routes into the pivot.

I also use a piece of polythene (shopping bag), melted to the plate and bar with a lighter so then there is no way any dust or dirt can get in there.

  • Cool.
