DK Solo - 4.0.1 PTR - The Nexus (Heroic) - Ormorok

I decided to solo more stuff. This time on the PTR to get a feel for DK Blood tanking in Cataclysm.

I want to stress this was done on Heroic mode at Level 80, not 85.

These exercises have helped me identify how to play my DK say, when the healer is CCed or I know a particularly nasty thing is about to happen.

The important one is IceHud with the rune bar made huge and put in the center of the screen. There's also Quartz for the cast bar and debuff bar under the runes. Again, this was a PTR, most of my mods weren't working.

@ninjaphatj Sorry for the delay, I didn't know anyone actually watched these.

I use Death Strike all the time to keep the blood shield going.

I HS / BS and Blood Boil to keep the Blade Barrier going. Blood Boil is good to use on bosses because it applies the 10% less physical damage debuff.

I use RS cause it's more DPS than DC. However, RS and DC both use runic power. There's a glyph for Death Strike that makes it hit harder the more RP you have, so only hit it when your RP is full.

Hey bud, nice vids, really enjoyed them. I know rotations are exactly "concrete" anymore. But would you be able to give me the jist of what you typically do? I see you apply diseases, DS whenever possible and RS whenever possible. How do your heart strikes fit in? Also, when do your DCs come into play? Also in terms of AoE, how does it change?
