B-29 "FiFi" and Severe Weather at the Dupage County Airport

One takeoff and then a landing as the weather moved in for the World War II era bomber "FIFI." Videoed on 7-22-2011.

A bit long at 12 minutes. But for those interested in historic aircraft or severe weather this might be worth the time. It includes radio transmissions between the airplane and the Dupage Airport FAA control tower. I never changed exposure as the storm progressed. So you get a dramatic look at how the sunlight fades. Which also causes it to be quite dark at times.

I had planned to take a series of clips while the bomber is in town for a compilation video. But I think this one cycle is worth its own.

Bill, Its great to see FiFi out and about. I've heard rumor that FiFi's landing gear had collapsed during taxi at one time. Other wise glad to see her flying and my gosh thats a nasty storm blowing in.
