@joeratti They just "drift out", use a punch and hammer.
I wrap the slide in leather to avoid scratching it - and place it in a vise.
Using the punch and hammer to "drift" the sights out to the side of the slide.
Use the same technique to install the new sights, Hope that helps.

@joeratti I'm guessing with a vise, nylon punch, hammer, and LOTS of whacks. Those XD sights don't like to come off.
