  • Again, we can witness the genius and creativity of a vocalist who knows the music of any song that she performs. God Bless Shirley. She is missed by many people who like the refinement of music.

  • Although I was born in the 70's my parents were jazz people. I remember hearing Shirley Horn as a kid. Her voice - there is nothing like it and she was just as talented a pianist. This guy is great too. Thanks for posting this clip.

  • @ Taddypoe Thank you! Oh, yeah, thankyou and thank you again! Did you get the other song posted up. Have a greaaaat musical day.

  • does anyone knows the names of the drummer and bassist

  • anyone knows the names of the bassist and drummer?

  • FANTASTIC...she sings so much with emotions...especially her songs "Solitary Moon" and "Here's To Life". Really magnificent....

  • Brilliant!! She's one of my all time favorites, thank you for posting!!

  • oh, and the musicians accomoanying her are top notch. they're a huge part of this striking piece of music. rock on!

  • awesome. you can get so much across without screaming, convulsing, and adding endless mannerisms. she puts so much into the song while forcing nothing. bravo, a fantastic performance.

  • Toward the end, Shirley had started to play again by using her prosthesis; I told Shirley that no one could accompany her on piano more effectively and efficiently than herself, which Shirley agreed with me in one of our many conversations during this time. George Mesterhazy's banal accompaniment sucks, the total Horn sound is Shirley, Steve and Charles. Shirley and Charles RIP LOL
