This video shows a typical $25, 450W PSU failing when loaded to just 335W - 74% of the advertised wattage. This happened after less than 2 minutes of testing at this load. Five other identical PSUs were tested under the same conditions and all failed in similar ways.

  • For anyone wondering, it is a raidmax 450W psu. I have this exact same one. I am completely surprised it could actually make it all the way to 335W. It is built by Sunpro, who also makes the majority of Athenatech power supplies.

  • @electronicwiz1 ya i noticed that. POS. what i did was hit refresh and then before the error comes up hit pause and change it to 240 or if your fast enought change it immediately to 240 as soon as it starts to load
