Parks Canada Honoured

SIDNEY - Parks Canada is being recognized internationally for its significant restoration of endangered Garry Oak ecosystems.

The World Wildlife Federation has presented Parks Canada with its prestigious 'Gift to the Earth' award.

Restoration work in Gulf Islands National Park Reserve has been credited by WWF as one of the key reasons for presenting the award.
