Henri Vieuxtemps (1820-1881)
Violin Concerto No. 5, Op. 37

I. Allegro non troppo

Itzhak Perlman (b. 1945), violin
Daniel Barenboim (b. 1942), conductor
Orchestre de Paris

Written in 1861.

Recorded in 1978.

ClassicalRecords is a Youtube channel where I upload some excellent performances from the LPs in my collection. I'm uploading these LPs because they are either not available on CD, out of print on CD, or just difficult to find.

  • Sweet

  • It's amazing.. I'm playing Mendelssohn and Vieuxtemps and they're lots of differentences; technical, musical etc.. I love Perlman and he plays so cute!!

  • My favorite part---6:40-7:10

  • I'm trying really hard to get this ready for my senior solo. And I've got to work Bruch and Mendelssohn for concerto competitions. xD aaa lol. I love this piece. And Perlman did a fine job in this recording.
