  • @IMFDB I agree with you the tapping is most likely an igniter spark device to start combustion. Regards John

  • @technofreak You are correct it is a AS355. I presume the exhaust and air intake cowlings are different on the AS350. Thanks John.

  • @IMFDB Yeah, the tapping are the igniters in the combustion chamber. The electric starter turns the engine until there is sufficient airflow to introduce fuel then BOOM!!!

  • @USVR1 correct!, this is an AS355 exhaust are different from AS350!
