"Angels We Have Heard On HIgh" Lyrics:
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o'er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Refrain

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song?

Refrain

Come to Bethlehem and see
Christ Whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.

Refrain

See Him in a manger laid,
Whom the choirs of angels praise;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
While our hearts in love we raise.

Refrain

  • i fucking love sixpence none the richer!

  • What a surprise to see this delightful animation along with this gentle rendition

  • @racerx6889 Correct. Its a compendium of historical fiction.

  • @anaemia u stupid little freak the bible is not a work of fiction.(>_<)

  • @anaemia wow, calm down. there is no Santa Claus, so what, should we ruin the whole story for kids? Religion was important to stop people from doing bad thing, or they would go in hell. This song is great and it's a great video for kids.

  • Bible doesn't end prior do Christ's birth. Old testament does. The Bible consists of two books: the old and the new testament, where we can read about Christ's birth. And the commonly accepted story is indeed part of it. I don't belong to any religion and but I have already read the Bible and even have my own. Quite an amazing book even if you think it's fiction.

  • to anaemia ..

    an interesting commentary, and apparently you are unaware of 1 critical point. The Bible ends PRIOR to Christ's birth.

    I am a little disappointed that you propose science as being even remote affected by the idea of a guy being born 2011 years ago. If you intend to work in ANY scientific/professional field, please note that failure to do the adequate background research, and making a profound statement... well, THAT little blunder renders your entire comment invalid.

  • This video is everything currently wrong with society.

    There are no such thing as angels or a supernatural deity. But even if there were, the Christmas story would still be fallacious, because most of the commonly accepted story isn't even in the Bible (which, regardless, is a work of fiction).

    Since then, Christmas has been used to propagate a myth which eats away at science and rational thinking and keeps us from progressing as a society, while promoting rampant consumerism.
