I forgot how fascinating this video was. What is the speed of this time lapse? You can see the plant grow and the aphids stay in the same place, just sucking up the juices of the poor rose bush.
This is fantastic! I particularly like the aphids giving birth to live young (vivipary), and will direct my RHS students to this site to help with their learning. The hoverfly larva is amazing, yet somewhat disgusting - a great example of biological control of aphids!
