Personally I'd like to see an advocate of gay marriage and gay rights on this panel. BTW I am a supporter of gay marriage. But biologically a gay couple can not have children just between the partners, that's just a biological fact. If the courts rule that this guy has to pay the mother, in spite of their contract than lesbian couples all across this nation can forget about having a close male friend or family member agree to be their sperm doner.

This is opening a big can of worms, even if you take the homosexuality out of it. What if a guy agrees to be a sperm doner to a brother or a good friend who's infernal, because the couple would rather it comes from a family member, rather than a random profile from a sperm bank. Is he legally accountable now. Also is the woman just looking for child support. How about shared custody, he takes the kids one week, she takes them the other week; how would she feel about that?

What's at issue here is the word "Contract" Both sides agree that there was one. But as soon as it (the contract) no longer served the mothers' "wants" voids that contract and seeks a defacto replacement that puts the sperm-doaner/father at extreme financial-legal disadvantage. This also dosen't speak well of the Gay Marriage that preceaded this. Why was the other "gay female partner" not persued for support ? If attorney Brickman says the original contract is "not-enforcable" Then nothing is !

Yes it's ok to donate sperm and not be financially liable.

Have you ever heard the phrase, 'everyone doesn't make a good parent, 'just because you can have kids doesn't mean that you should', etc etc?

Why do you think people have their kids taken away? Because they're not being a good parent or they're not in the kids lives. This man is in his kids life and a good parent, why shouldn't he beheld responsible when it's HIS kid?

Really? So it's okay to donate the sperm and make a baby without being financially liable, but if you want to also give and receive love, you have to pay for it? The cost of the child comes from the creation of the child, and as a sperm donor, all agree we are on the same page there. The child does not generate more costs because they are loved loved, but the love is what he is being charged for; not the sperm donation.

Sperm donors aren't supposed to see their damn kids, if he's going to come around and get the kids emotionally attached to him and put on contract he wants to be their role model aka father he should of thought about the fact that he is being a role model to his own kids and thus being a father to the kids instead of just a sperm doner.

He simply wanted to be a dad without shelling out any money if I were the judge he'd pay.
