you are comppletely missing the point. Bob knight was a coach-a great one at that. If his team was down, it was his job to get angry to get his players riled up. taunting a player after a basket like that does nothing but deflate your team after a huge play. It was stupid, Bob Knight is one of the winningest coaches of all time. He knows what hes talking about.

@casereviewmaster If Knight wants to lecture about momentum swings, that's his prerogative. But to get on his soapbox and preach to some 21 year old kid on ESPN as if he's some thug for lingering after an exciting dunk––especially considering Knight probably makes more obscene gestures before breakfast––is farcical to me. With the video, I tried to make the point that this diatribe rings hollow coming from someone with so little moral credibility.

Knight and Phelps ripped him apart and then harped about the technical every time Kuric missed a shot or made the slightest error for the rest of the game. Sorry if Pitino killed your dog or something. At least he still has a coaching gig; I don't think anyone envies Knight.

It's not ironic. Hypocritical, I think you mean, though even that would be based on the idea that people are never allowed to identify a mistake in someone else unless they've never been guilty of it themselves.

Awesome video !!!! Kuric is great kid . He didn't deserve the beatdown from knight and phelps .. They are two grumpy old men that just suck all the excitement out of the game .

I think I read a Bobby Knight quote that was something along the lines it's a coaches job to draw attention away from players so they can just focus on playing their game. So I think his comments are in line with his philosophy.

No, you are right, Kyle Kuric didn't do much wrong. It was sort of trivial but he didn't have to make any gesture either. I was in Assembly Hall once for a game and Knight went ballistic on his own IU fans for waving hands beneathe the basket to Michigan State player when he was shooting free throws. Knight was an idiot, yes, once yelled at my friend to get a hair cut when we were students down in Bloomington but Knight wanted to be fair. U knew u were watching student athletes. If u want

IU plays UK this Saturday in Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Yes, IU will probably get beat, but Knight ran a very clean program when he was there and won with a lot less talent. Calapari paid Macus Camby 40,000 dollars to play 4 him @ UM. Camby admitted it.Calapari got another person to take SAT for DerickRose @ Memphis. UK hires him so UK dirty.
