Just following orders, Mr. Reagan...

You know for sure that they are in the Twilight Zone when they could change the plane tickets for another day with no problems or penalties at the blink of an eye.

@fisteberg "TV can drive mad and make you lose your mind." An ironic comment on television by a television show...

IN a weird way, this man makes me think of a guy losting his mind, maybe suffering from schyzophrenia or something like that,a split personality and he doesn't really know who he is.He's confused about himself like we can sometimes be confused or he had a nervous breakdown and deliriums. But that's the way i consider the episode, everyone has his own visions about that.It depends on our state of mind and experiments.

@colafroggy I don't think that is stupid at all; its The Twilight Zone. In other words, yes: he was really Gerry. However, in his mind, he no longer thought that. Richard Matheson (the episode's writer) is calling into question larger, more philosophical questions about identity. Who are we as individuals? Are we what we think of ourselves, or the sum total of everyone's impressions of us? Also, I think he is making a great point about the way television shapes our identity.

i bet the only thing harder than acting, is to act as if you are not acting at all.
