This is the scene where Gary Cooper just found out that they'll kill the John Doe Society if the powers that be don't get to control it. Ol' Coop fills them in on something called 'the people'.

And as James Gleason says, in the last line of the movie. "That's the people. Try and lick that!"

I uploaded this because currently WABC AM radio in NYC, 77 on the dial, and streaming, has a wonderful program called Saturday Night Oldies. It's hosted by Mark Simone. It's TV Land for radio, and much, much more.

It's one of the best things you'll hear on radio, anywhere in the world. If you grew up listening to radio, or if you're new to it, this show is for you.

But, like Meet John Doe, there are forces at work. Powerful forces that wish to kill the show if they can't control it, change it, or let it wither away.
