  • A musical masterpiece and a great ode to Queen..."since Mercury just took my heart away, Roger and John Brian May..."!

You should go and listen to Overture part II too!!!

I remember hearing on the radio round that time that Robby gave one of the first versions of this track to Brian May after Freddie Mercury died. I'm sure he loved it! I still have that version on tape somewhere...have no tapedeck anymore unfortunately...

Thanx for sharing! Everyone should once have listened to this...

  • This is one of my favourites songs ever.

I can totally relate to "On and on, my faith lives on for all those years I was so young, since Mercury just took my heart away. Roger and John, Brian May!"

Robby is such an amazing talent.

Much more people should know this song and many many others by this dutch genius!

  • Absolutely amazing...

    Love from Norway

  • This track was released on the cardbox CD-single 'Mega Man' as second track. Valentine's Overture part 2 was released on the maxi CD-single 'Mega Man' as second or third track.

As much as I know, Robby composed a 'Queen's Overture'. Just as he planned to send this musical masterpiece to Freddie/Queen for his/their opinion, Freddie passed away. Only a day later, the dutch radio station 'Veronica' broadcast this song in a tribute to Freddie Mercury in the radioprogram 'Countdown Café'.
