i love LOTR. it deserves a thousand oscars, but it von as much as the titanic. i dont understand lotr is at least a milion times beter movie.

@chrysta77 I own all the special extended DVD box-set editions of all three movies which essentially contains two extra discs full of special features which you would not find on the original cinematic DVD releases This include: translating LOTR from book to script ( disc1) and making the script into a movie( disc 2) There are hours upon hours of extra footage and deleted scenes that didn't make it into the original so I would definitely recommend them if you're a fan :)

As an Asian, I never really understood why the gave the Elves an "oriental" fighting style and the Dunedain an European fighting style. The reason is that it was the Elves who first taught men how to fight with swords, shields, bows and arrows, etc. For instance, Gandalf's sword once belonged to an elven king (Elrond's paternal grandfather).

this is a footage from a tribute sort of things by the amazon for its 10th anniversary. it is in fact longer but this is a part i really adore : )
