I was touching on Hip Hop culture as a whole not just rap. Wild Style and Beat Street were Hollywood movies but both reflected the racial and ethnic make up of the South Bronx.

CrowdPleeza Blacks did create rap. D.J. Herc (Black man of Jamaican descent) started it in the Bronx in early seventies. He brought "toasting" (raps forefather) to the Bronx, something Jamaicans had been doing for years. At first his parties were all Black American, the Puerto Ricans kids came later. The first MCs and DJs were black also. "Wild Style" & Beat Street" thats Hollywood shit! If you believe that then I should believe John Wayne could take out entire Navajo nation with a six-shooter!
