ACLU Fights Wiretapping Approved by Obama, McCain and Bush

When Pres. George W. Bush and Sen. Barack Obama BOTH agreed on unconstitutional amendments to the foreign intelligence surveillance act (FISA) last week, it raised questions about Obama's consistency on civil liberties and about how to best fight this assault on the Fourth Amendment and the right to privacy. I try to answer these questions with some clips from a Barack Obama news conference and from spokespeople for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)

I think that anyone hacking into anothers account to gather private information about them for whatever reason should be charged with federal crimes. At the same time I ask... Why is it the law emforcement at every level can spy on american citizens and gather personal information about them, use it though the media to dehumanize and demoralize and not be held accountable for this? This makes me very angry!!!!!!!!

I love how when he was running (and was obviously going to get elected), people declared what an awesome speaker he was. Trying to point out that it's been a hundred years since a president wrote his own speeches was useless.
