In October of 2008, I was back to Guadalajara Mexico from a bussines trip to Cali Colombia, the flight ( I dont remember the number ) was to take off at 6:30 AM from Cali to Bogota, bue I was very surprised to experience an Avorted Take Off !!! this is the first time ( and I wish that was the last ) that I experience this, any way everything wnt OK apart from the avorted Take off, and they send us to another Airplane, it was a Fokker 100 and that was a very OK flight.

  • @DiamondPilotDan OK Kid, thats your point of view, jajajaa Grow up !

  • At least it was on the ground... I woulda freaked if I woulda been on n the got it to start up and were gonna take off in that plane. I woulda made them kick me off

  • @DJRipple86 Yea ! we were very lucky to get that problem in the ground ! take care !!

  • Great.... A Fokker...

  • @salvadorcamposmachas No, it was a MD-80, we were changed to a Fokker 100 after the problem

  • Hello, I know how that works, thanks for the advice, Im a Pilot, and I understand theres "0" risks doing that... Plus this was Colombia, and the Colombian flight Rules are very diferent, but after all, believe me, a Digital Camera does nothing to the comunication systems of the airplane, if this was a Cellular, telephone, ther is some risks, but not with a Digital camera, Thanks any way and merry christmas.

  • The last aborted takeoff I was on was a Fokker F100 at Cleveland. It was pouring rain and the tower reported an animal or vehicle crossed onto the runway. The Captian came back and talked to us while waiting for the brakes to cool and to get the brakes and tires inspected. He said the order came about 1 second before V1. He stopped the plane from about 140 Knots and I don't think he used thrust reversers as I never heard the engines spool up during braking. Amazing how hard it braked.

  • Windows seems a little bit slow...

  • WOW. There is like nobody on the plane. I have never seen a plane with that many empty seats. Besides that great video. Thumbs Up!!!!

  • @icunurse01 cameras wont do anything nub

  • maybe the price of the flight for the company was too much for few people that were inside of the airplaine that they decided to not take off :-)

  • why was it aborted?

  • @123monrra just some reassuring words. Even if it happened just before you lift off you are perfectly safe. There is a safety rule. During take off the speed is called out at 80 knots and at V1. V1 means that the plane is travelling too fast to stop on the runway, but it's going fast enough even to take off with 1 engine. You wouldn't climb as hard as you usually would, but you will climb, turn around and land again.
