It all started when I was introduced to this non-windows system from someone I thought was my friend. It looked so exiting I almost got high..

In the beginning I only used it occacionally, and always hided myself from others when doing it. But then it got more often, and sometimes I forgot to reboot into Windows, before my parents came into my room. Then one day my father confronted me with my problem, and this time I couldn't deny it. I simply broke down and confessed..

@theMataby You should try run a different Distribution ... i found a programm not running in Wine under Ubuntu and when I tried ArchLinux it worked immediatly

When the majority of folks use *nix and only know how to use apps and surf the internet, does it really matter? 20 years of Linux does not make it an O/S. Its a kernel that works wonders when paired with the right software. It runs Android, serves up billions of pages every day, runs web-apps and probably runs your coffee pot with a few tweaks. *nix in general is in everyone's lives, so why all the hate? OSX is *nix and windows plays with *nix on their servers. *shrugs*

@David8Parkour This is only a few examples , but OpenShot video editor only runs on Linux distributions... 3DS Mac only runs on Windows , and Final Cut Pro only runs in the Mac OS... So ALL of the OSes have software that only run on their OS.

I really wish Wine wasn't as buggy with Ubuntu as I've had in my experiences, then I'd use Linux all the time. Darn Windows-only coders!

@jfcash84 mac is bsd based, but feels warped imo. Like they turned a custom built hotrod into a family minivan. I really want to replace OSX with something else. Opensource>alle.

Actually mac software only runs on mac hardware. Unless you major tweek it.

@ytvoice1 No shame in being part of the Un*x crowd. I find it funny how the "Mac" in this ad is trying to hide from its roots(No pun intended) . MacOS X=UNIX Linux≈Unix
