  • Great performance of this piece! I just began working on it, and I"m really excited! Any chance you remember what mallets you used?

  • @Sharky2491 I believe I used IP400, WU5's, and potentially some WU-3's. It's been a while so I don't remember all of my choices. Hope that helps!

  • I'm a little confused, did you not perform the 2nd movement? or was it combined into one of the two videos?

  • @Drumbreak1 I did not perform the second movement during this performance. I did perform it with the full wind ensemble, but I do not have a video of that. Sorry!

  • Where can I buy or get this song its amazing, Ive been looking everywhere. Please help. And by the way You are INSANE!! on the Marimba.

  • You can buy it from C. Alan Publications or from Steve Weiss Music. Thanks for the comments!

  • You are seriously amazing. Wow. Major kudos. That piano player is quite hot stuff as well!

  • I know I'm about 3 years too late, but I must say you did a great job on this concerto. Especially after watching you play, I'm really hoping to learn this piece myself when I am done working up the Creston Concertino!

  • I heard this at my high school a few years ago. Except it was backed by a full Wind Ensemble instead of a piano, and the solo was played by my beloved drum teacher, it was SO amazing! Although I do like the piano, I love the big band sound just a bit more.

    OUTSTANDING though! I LOVE IT!

  • Geez I'm in 9th grade and I totally wish i could do what you do! this is great (all im good at is snare/ auxillary/ bass/ timpani) This marimba is awesome! Well played!

  • Cool thanks. I figured it was something along the lines of that.
