Find out more about rehoming a horse from World Horse Welfare http://bit.ly/orvMqA

When the Williams family set about finding a first pony for their three year-old daughter Grace, rehoming World Horse Welfare rescue pony Rowanna was the perfect solution.

World Horse Welfare rescued Rowanna, an 18 year old 12.hh chestnut mare, in 2008, following a call from a concerned member of the public. Rowanna and five other ponies were found in very poor condition with overgrown feet. She was taken to our Glenda Spooner Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Somerset and rehomed just over a year ago by the Williams family. Grace, just two at the time, learnt to ride on Rowanna, who has now found a new life as the perfect first pony.

  • @misspalousepony I have a big sister, younger one too, my little one hates horse, my big sister and I adore them. But I get all of her hand me downs, and now she's getting horse, and now I'm begging my mom and dad to let us move to England. (just to be able to adopt a horse from W.H.W) Haha, I've always wanted to go there anyways, harry potter still lives in me

  • nice pony, hope kid treats the pony well as she grows up.

  • what a cute match :)

  • She's a very cute pony, and seems to have a wonderful new family. But, 18 is not particularly old for a horse. It's not young...but it's not ancient either. Ponies can easily live into their late 20's and early 30's, and I've known a couple who were near 40 when they died. Ponies live a great deal longer than horses typically, as do some of the draft and spanish breeds. So glad such a cute girl found a wonderful new home!

  • @mad4hebe Are you allowed to buy them? i thought you were only allowed to loan them?:S lol, i thought wrong:P x

  • Beautiful! I wish that all horses could find a home as loving as this. :)
