And you bring up Dan Marino & Phil Simms - well, being absent of a lisp doesn't make them problem-free. Marino isn't exactly polished w/ his "Ima Italian" street accent- & there have been times when I've thought that most of his brains must be in that right arm of his. Phil Simms' bumpkin self is a classless tool - & possibly a racist one at that. I mean, who doesn't get along w/ the professional, even-tempered Greg Gumbel? And don't forget he tried to beat up Desmond Howard in public.

It's not only the black guys - Lou Holtz & Mike Mayock, just to name 2, have their speech problems too. Mayock is worshiped as some kind of god of football analysis despite having the same lisp as Strahan - why can't the brothers get the same benefit of the doubt?
And who was that prominent white newscaster (non-sports) who sounded like he had had a stroke? No, I'm not making this up.
