My father asked me if this clip is from the orginal movie called `Heavy Metal`jw cause I was thinking of dling it for him since he`s an old man who needs to be rejuvinated. Can someone help me perhaps?

@SadisticMushroom The video is from the Japanese anime show called Gundam. The movie Heavy Metal was an animated film released in 1981 featuring a variety of voice actors, many from SCTV, and a really cool soundtrack. Instead of downloading it, get the DVD/Bluray (makes a great gift) plus its got a cool deleted scene and other info on the movie. It's one of my favorite movies, I watch it just about as often as the original Dawn of the Dead, which is pretty often...

I know who made this -- guy named D. Weaver, who was in fact part of the "Anime-C" club back in Cincinnati in the 90's. I was in that club as well. He did about half a dozen other videos as well, but this was one of his first. Thanks for archiving this, I was hoping to find a copy of it!

@voiceofisaac Awesome info! I also had uploaded "It's the end of the world as we know it by REM", but it was blocked last time I checked. I'm pretty sure it was from the same source as these ones. The tape (VHS) I got way back then had a bunch of other videos on it, and I'm pretty sure there was one on there also done buy the same source using the Duran Duran song a view to a kill using Golgo 13 as its anime, however, the copy wasn't very good.

Don't hate, I've heard of a lot of older Bands I wouldn't have if it was not for these AMV's, not to mention Animes I'd of never heard of if I hadn't been scanning for the song.

If you don't like it then either don't look for it, or just minimize the video. However, I have to admit I'm fighting the urge to point out the fallacy in your argument. If everyone thought like yourself then we'd of never had great Music videos.

@SixbyFire, John Candy did many voices in the movie. This is the classic song by the Blue Oyster Cult.

I recall viewing this in `91 or `92 while attending Auburn University. It was my first exposure to Japanime - as it was called at the time.

@SixbyFire Well, these clips are from the movie. Not the show. The movie was apart of the series, char's counterattack. Which came out in 1988. The Orginial Gundam series came out in 1979. Both of which are out in the U.S. as well as Europe in English Dub.
