Oh man, this was playing at my work tonight and after 30 minutes of searching, I finally remembered enough of the lyrics to find the damn song!

You're right. They hated this song. They insisted and recorded their own material. Please Please Me was born. The rest is history, wonderful history.

Well, Lennon and McCartney may have known it was going to be a hit for someone else, but they didn't care. The song wasn't their style and they probably hated it. They wanted only to put out their own compositions as singles. They song they put out instead of HDYDI was, of course, "Please Please Me". That song didn't do to badly, and the rest is history..

This was first written and given to the Beatles to preform, but Paul and John did not like it, they recorded the song and never released it , their manager gave it to the Pacemakers who made it a HIT... rest is History,,but interesting that history's greatest song writers duo ( Paul and John ) could not recognize a hit !

Actually during those days european audiences appreciated the music, but it was not proper to do somethings ,that the american girls did, although I think the bandwas muchmore appreciated by american audiences, hell half the british invasion now has a home somewhere in america!.....what does that tellya, but all joking aside, they were good times for rock and roll! and falling in love!
