Ripped from the Special Edition DVD in the music-only audio mode, here's the film version of "Prelude and Main Title March" by John Williams.

Warner Music Group owns the music and album cover heard/seen here, not me.

  • I just can't believe they think there going to ever make a better Superman theme thajn Williams in his prime. Yeah, good luck mr. Zimmer.

  • One of the most majestic pieces of music ever written. But I mean, go figure, it's John Williams.

  • How in Pete's sake is Zack Snyder going to save his carrer if Man of Steel doesn't have music in THIS emotional level?

  • Absolutely a great opening score. Glad it was used in the re-boot.

  • From 3:54 to 4:13 that part of the song just gets me so hyped I cant even describe it. Fuckin love Superman love the comis and love the movies, except 3 and 4.

  • Imagine you're buying a ticket to watch this classic and the curtain's are opening. You hear this prelude and it's the premiere of the movie in the theatre.

You almost shit your pants because the theme overwhelmed you and gave you goosebumps.

This theme is more satisfying than intercourse!

  • I hope this would be in Zack Snyders Man of Steel too

  • “In the decade of the 1930′s, even the great city of Metropolis was not spared the ravages of the worldwide depression. In the times of fear and confusion, the job of informing the public was the responsibility of the Daily Planet, a great metropolitan newspaper, whose reputation for clarity and truth had become a symbol of hope for the city of Metropolis.”

  • This has to be the best soundtrack in history.

  • 1:14 just sends shivers down my spine! that slow cresesndo!

  • I hate how thw theme itself is a bit more higher pitched.

  • The dude of steel, boy are you gonna get it?!
