Inserting a chopstick under the strings at the bridge causes that familiar buzzing sound of the sitar. Also, a mizrab finger plectrum can be made from only a paper clip.

  • Yep. Doin' alright.

  • To make it more similar to a Tar just put the low sixth string back and tune it to C. By the way, the stringing is like this for sitar; take off the first and sixth string and replace the sixth string with the first and put away the sixth string. Then remove the fifth string and move the rest of the strings over so that there are no strings where the first and second strings should be.
