This is the temporary rat room, Until the rest of the remodel gets done. Hoping to add a few more rat breeding racks, A mouse breeding rack and maybe one more holding rack. Hoping to be able to get rid of all the tanks. Im thinking of turning this into the new snake room once the rat area gets finished. This is in our boarding kennel. Had a few extra rooms, Thanks for watching

  • good luck with the smell...i have to cleen out my racks twice a week and the freaking smell gives me a headache...

  • @meltedsmile80 The smell isnt that bad. I clean once a week, and its not a problem. I have been keeping them like this for a few years now. These are in another building so, the smell isnt that big of an issue. They still get cleaned once a week and are not really that bad. The mice stink more than the rats. Im going to be building a small mice rack to get rid of all the tanks. That should help with some of the mice smell a bit

  • Nice rat room!

How much do you think it would cost to build a rack like that?

  • @heretic98 Im not 100% sure. I think I paid 55.00 for 12 tubs. Then what ever the wood, water bottles, and hardware cloth cost.

  • @heretic98 Water bottles were 30.00 or so. For 24 of them. I think it was about 225-250 for the two racks. Thats everything needed to make the two racks. Wood tubs staples hardware cloth screws and wheels and water bottles.
