  • do you really need to remove the sd card?

  • 1) You couldn't find a memory card? Busch League.

    2) You missed the most important point: you have to point at the light source. If you point at the subject (for argument's sake, let's say a field of green grass) and white balance pointed to that, your white balance will be whacked. You need to point it at the sky towards the sun (don't blind yourself). If there are multiple light sources, put the camera at the subject pointed towards where the photo will be taken from and balance from there.

  • BTW set the lens to manual focus

  • first you set the exposure bar to 0 setting apperture iso and shutter and then you do the white balance? of first the white balance and then fix the exposure? the results are very different dependng how you will do it..
