latex won't form a realistic mask go for silicone it lasts longer and looks much more realistic....

Latex comes in a thin batter-like consistancy. This is how it should be used when you pour it into the mold..

i use a latex clear coat by Michael's Crafts. This way you can still do any over-painting on it...then a final clear coat by PLASTI-DIP is used for a waterproof seal coating.
