  • I'm SO glad you posted this. I only knew the You Found Me, I love the old version just as much as the new revised. But hearing from what it was to what it is now, is truly amazing. The Fray keep rocking out and bringing it new like no mans business. No matter how much they revise it. I've been looking for the whole old version and could never find it. I am truly grateful.

  • I like this version more!!! he's so much more emotional in it...

  • Hmmm I think you found me was better, of course that is my opinion

  • i wrote this version

  • I definitely think You Found Me was more radio friendly, but i like the name Amistad better. But i definitly see Amistad as more darker. "i will not wair for You" "blood was on the floor" but in reality it shows the struggles and how he and most of us feel with God. i've written lyrics about God, not always good, but in the end they seem to come up right and makes a good song. I can honestly think the You Found Me went bigger because Isaac found a relationship and God made it possible for us 2 c

  • The lyrics changed a lot also because his feelings changed about the subject. He wrote it about struggles with God. In the original drafts he was more angry with God but in the final version that we hear on the radio, he's more understanding.

  • i like the second verse in this one.

  • here, they were just playing it live. You know how artists do? they play new songs to test them out. and this was over a year before they released their second album. so they had time to change the lyrics around before they released "You Found Me" as a single.

  • They did change it to make it more radio friendly. I'm hoping that was the record companies choice and not theirs.

I think the second verse and bridge lyrics are better in 'you found me' but the chorus lyrics are better in this version.
