I discuss the Mao era. The current Chinese authorities and Western academics have denounced Mao simply for the sake of personal gain. In this video, I reevaluate the Mao Zedong era. I recommend you read "The Battle for China's Past" by Mobo Gao.

During Mao's time, my parents(they wre medical workers)sent to the rural areas(from 1969-1979) to build hospitals, train barefoot docters and provide medi-care for poor peasants. And I saw high schools and community colleges(called "gong da") wre also built at that time for peasants children(it was free education), and I myself graduated from one of them. But now, all those hospitals and schools are gone in name of "economic reform".

Mao was a very good man. If it wasn´t him, tibet would go poor poor poor. But people still try to hide his ideology of equality and his achievements, by saying that it was a terrible dictatorship, and blaming mao for every single bad thing that happened in china.
