  • I went to this show to see owen play (never heard of bloc party before) but I can understand why people would find him boring, if they were there to see bloc party. the two have different styles. however, i was mad everyone was talking so loud when i was trying to film this. oh well, it was a great show.

  • ughh i hate it when people talk during performances.. even if it's an opening act, it's called COMMON COURTESY.

  • I most certainly do not! Owen Pallett is amazing! I saw him last night and while I loved him before, I was just fascinated by the talent behind his performance, I mean he plays all the parts and then loops them. the layers of sound that he produced boggled my mind when I thought that it was just him up there beign amazing.

  • mkay, i won't make generalisations. but pallet is of the homoginized type..ya know?

  • How can you listen and not be moved.. wonderful music...

  • i wish someone had taped that part! owen is so amazing :)

  • yeah I am a huge fan of both as well as hip-hop, techno, death metal some other stuff that doesn't relate to indie rock at all. So lets not go making generalizations about Bloc Party's fanbase mkay?

  • AHHHH I would have probably killed someone to be at that show. Bloc Party is pretty much my favorite band ever and Final Fantasy is up there too. *Jealousy* I live in Cleveland so I totally could have been there.

  • I was at this show. I had won tickets to see Bloc Party online. I only sort of knew Bloc Party's music, and I had never heard of Final Fantasy / Owen Pallett.

It was an AWESOME show (except for those preteen girls who also opened).

I left the show a Bloc Party fan. But, even to a larger extent, I left the show an Owen Pallett fan.

    Very, very awesome.

  • it's not that people who like bloc party don't like owen, it's just that he was the opening act, and it's not uncommon for people to not care about the opening act. i like bloc party and final fantasy.

  • if he ever becomes superfamous it's the people who spend the evening talking who'll tell everyone how they saw him first

  • What a silly generalization. He arranged the strings on the last two Arcade Fire albums, and many people who like the Arcade Fire also like Bloc Party, so it's reasonable that many people would enjoy and appreciate both Owen and Bloc Party. I'm one of them. I'm sorry if you can't fathom the notion that people's interests might have room for both performers.
